Located at 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street, these window designs are branded with color, look-and-feel and theme to create a peek inside all the retail opportunities!
Origami Owl’s “LIMITLESS” theme at the Savannah Convention Center in Georgia (July 2019).
Convention branded window-cling graphics covered the entrance, and wrapped stairs , which were visible from water ferry transporting attendees. Lamp posts and banners welcomed guests as they arrived from the ferry to begin this awaited annual convention held at a different location each year.
I art directed, designed, and managed production for this high-profile art installation located in the $1M remodeled space on the 6th floor of the Fulton Center. This ‘Wall of Philanthropy’ earned a Gold Award from the Western States Printing Alliance.
In collaboration with ASU Print and Imaging Lab—who produced and installed the final product—my work won the Gold Award in the Western States Printing Alliance’s (WSPA) 15th Annual Print Excellence Awards. The piece was subsequently elevated to the Premier Print Awards competition in Pittsburgh, where it earned a 2018 Certificate of Merit.
A special thank you to Cathy Skoglund, former Senior Director of the Print and Imaging Lab, for submitting the entry. This achievement was truly a team effort!
ASU Enterprise Partners is a nonprofit dedicated to fundraising and philanthropy. I designed this community meeting space to reflect their mission in a modern, inviting way.
The artwork features two long collages anchored by a flowing ‘river of words’ in the adjacent gray wall color. This typographic pattern extends from the east end of the conference center, past the central elevator, to the west end of the space.
I specified the metal prints and acrylic panels using a custom standoff system with brushed metal hardware to match the interior accents. I collaborated with the student-run ASU PrintLab to produce the prints and acrylic rectangles. Together, we planned and ordered the complex, multi-level standoff system and coordinated with their large-format printer. The ASU PrintLab then partnered with a professional third-party installer, whose expertise is evident in the final result.
Following its Gold Award win in the Western States Printing Alliance competition, the piece was elevated to the Premier Print Awards in Pittsburgh, where it received a 2018 Certificate of Merit.
This wall features gray-on-gray 3D lettering displaying the Campaign ASU 2020 slogan, ‘Together, Our Potential Is Limitless.’ I collaborated with Airpark Signs in Scottsdale, AZ to produce the featured proof of my design. The custom lettering was fabricated, hand-painted, and installed near the reception entrance of the 6th-floor conference center at the Fulton Center.
I designed ‘The Athenian Oath,’ a wall decal installed near the entrance of a flexible conference area on the west end of the Fulton Center’s 6th-floor conference center. I collaborated with Airpark Signs in Scottsdale to produce the decal, which is situated near the kitchen and a distinctive book wall.
From The Oath of the Athenian City-State
We will ever strive for the ideals and sacred things of the city, both alone and with many;
We will unceasingly seek to quicken the sense of public duty;
We will revere and obey the city’s laws;
We will transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.
I designed a wall featuring the poem ‘When Giving Is All You Have’ by Alberto Álvaro Ríos, installed on a wall adjacent to The Joan and David Lincoln Conference Center on the 6th floor of the Fulton Center in Tempe, AZ. Dr. Ríos is the Katherine C. Turner Endowed Chair in English at Arizona State University and an inaugural Poet Laureate of Arizona.
